The purpose of ministry is to serve others.  When Christ was here on the earth, He made it clear that one of the foremost principles of His kingdom was to putting the welfare of others first.  One of the purposes of the Champaign Seventh-day Adventist Church is to “glorify God by representing and exemplifying the character of Christ and the love of God to the community.”  It is by serving people and meeting the needs of the community that this purpose is fulfilled.
